Abstract
Paleohistology, or the microscopic study of fossil bone or teeth in thin section, investigates aspects of the biology of extinct organisms that are otherwise unavailable for study. Our current equipment requires significant training and operational time, both of which limit the scope of student projects at both the graduate and, especially, undergraduate level. STF funds are requested to purchase updated equipment that will substantially increase the efficiency of a lengthy technical process.
