Abstract

Though many aspects of the internship and job search have changed over the years, employers still expect candidates to clearly articulate their skills and experiences through resumes and interviews. An inability to do so will result in candidates applying to dozens (if not hundreds) of positions over months, sometimes without an eventual positive outcome. Yet, most individuals are not naturally adept at describing their experiences, competencies, and fit in a clear, concise, compelling manner. Those that are wise enough to know they need assistance often get it from friends, family members, and websites that may not offer accurate advice tailored to today’s college students. UW students need access to cutting edge AI-based tools that will help them tell their story to employers and secure opportunities befitting a college graduate.
