Abstract
Cloud computing has increasingly replaced locally managed computing infrastructure. The public cloud is rapidly evolving its services for data-driven science. The university has the opportunity to become an early adopter for this kind of program. We propose here a training program for students from all departments to learn and use cloud resources. This proposal is responsive to the STF Committee's recommendation to expand the HPC Club technology offerings to include the public cloud.
