Abstract
This proposal seeks to enhance the Exploration and Remote Instrumentation by Students (ERIS) underwater observatory by implementing a professional-grade Sea-Bird Electronics CTD (SBE 16+ V2) and supporting equipment. Undergraduate exploration of the underwater environment is typically limited to a few individuals aboard research vessels. The ERIS observatory is a student driven project that makes data available online to all students through an underwater cabled sensor network.
