Abstract
We request funding to update the software for computers available to students in the department lounge (together with hardware: STF Application #39). Two current STF computers installed in 2010 have proven valuable, especially to graduate students. We are applying for fast-track consideration since the age of the software is making it impossible to adequately update the operating systems on both desktops, consequently compromising their functionality.
