Abstract
The Mechanical Engineering machine shop provides state-of-the-art machinery to many student clubs, research and design programs across campus. As more and more students develop hands on skills with the machines in the shop, a sharp demand has grown for a 4th and 5th axis upgrade to two of the current machines. The 4th axis upgrade will enable more students to gain expertise in manufacturing processes typically used in industry, while the 5th axis upgrade will be the first of its kind on campus.
