Burke Museum
About the Burke Museum
A place for research and cultivating action, the Burke Museum works with professionals and students to gain insight into the world around us and the history we left behind. The Student Technology Fee and the Burke Museum work hand in hand to supply support to students learning their field of study through supplying technological materials to advance their research.
How STF Helped
On the 3rd floor of the Burke Museum, the paleontology exhibit is a haven for researchers and workers behind the windows. Equipment utilized in the labs is used by students at UW across disciplines and departments. The facility housed equipment that was over 10 years old and wasn't keeping up with the increasing demands from all of the new volunteers. The team needed more new equipment to increase the number of users and decrease the amount of time spent on a single project. They looked to STF to supply the funds needed to bring the new lab to life.

The Impact
With new image-capturing equipment, a high-quality image capturing 3D printer, and so much more, the Student Technology Fee provided the lab with everything they needed.
