Clark Hall’s Updated Technology Resources

UW ROTC

About Clark Hall:

Home to the University of Washington’s ROTC program, Clark Hall has drawn thousands of students since its construction in 1896. Supporting students in the UW Army, Navy, and Air Force, alongside other students in Aerospace studies and more, Clark Hall has been a place of learning, discipline, and research.

How STF Helped:

As a freshman at the University of Washington, Ben Sandow heard about the Student Technology Fee and its mission to serve the students and faculty by providing funding to achieve their goals. During his time at UW, Ben noticed potential in an isolated room located in Clark Hall, currently being used to hold outdated, unreliable PC units. Next to the student lounge, the space for students would be the perfect secluded quiet space to work. With the help of our STF team, Ben Sandow was given the funding to transform the old space into a refurbished, quiet room filled with upgraded computers. The space holds 5 Dell desktop computers all with Adobe Acrobat support and a smart card port access.

The Impact

Through our collaboration with Ben Sandow, all UW students now have access to better technology. Welcome any student or faculty on campus during operating hours, the Clark Hall study room is perfect for anyone who needs a secluded study spot to focus and work.
